Performance Guidelines
Time Limit:
Each poet will have 5 minutes to perform with a 10-second grace period. After the grace period, points may be deducted.
Rounds:
Round 1- All poets perform.
Round 2 - Top 4 poets advance.
Final Round - Top 2 poets compete for the win.
Judging:
3–5 judges will score each performance on a scale of 0.0–10.0.
Criteria include:
- Content & Message
- Delivery & Performance
- Originality
Rules:
• Original work only
• No props, costumes, or music
• Memorization encouraged but not required
• Respect the time limit
Prizes:
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 2 poets.
1st Place: $150
2nd Place: $75
